Exciting Staff ChangesI'm writing to let you know about some big and exciting changes at the National Priorities Project. First, founder and executive director Greg Speeter, after leading and growing the organization for 25 years, has decided to lead NPP in a different capacity. As director of education and training, Greg will spearhead the expanded effort to reach more groups, more activists and more of our citizens with NPP's message and materials. Secondly, NPP is excited to announce the hire of our new executive director, Jo Comerford. A peace and social justice activist and leader for over 20 years, Jo brings tremendous energy, vision and leadership to NPP. She begins here on July 16th and looks forward to introducing herself to you in the coming weeks and months. Finally, I have news of my own departure from NPP. As of July 21st, I will be the regional field director for a Massachusetts ballot campaign to defeat an attempted repeal of the state's income tax. It has been a great privilege to work for NPP for these last 10 years and I look forward to continuing the fight for greater economic justice on a more local level. Meanwhile, you can expect to continue receiving news of NPP's latest releases and updates. If you have any questions or thoughts, don't hesitate to Greg at greg@nationalpriorities.org. Have a great summer and best wishes. Warmly, Click Here to visit the staff bio page |
