Community Development Block Grants

Communty Development Block Grants (CDBG): Included in the administration's fiscal year 2009 proposal is a 60 percent cut in Community Development Block Grants (CDBG) compared to fiscal year 2008.  This program assists local governments with community and economic
development projects that primarily benefit low- and moderate-income people. 

The following table shows the cuts for each state, after taking inflation into account.
