Social Services Block Grant
Social Services Block Grants (SSBG): The administration's proposal includes a 30.9 percent cut to Social Services Block Grants (SSBG) over fiscal year 2008. This program provides states with funds to provide childcare and employment services, admissions or referrals for
institutional care, services to prevent neglect or exploitation, and other community services.
The following table shows the cuts for each state, after adjusting for inflation.
