The National Priorities Project is a progressive nonprofit research and education organization that makes the federal budget accessible and understandable to citizens so they can influence how public money is spent. It is seeking a dynamic half-time Executive Director to lead the organization in partnership with a supportive and engaged national board of directors and dedicated staff. The Executive Director will provide vision and direction for the organization, while playing a lead role in fund development, strategic thinking, and overall operations.
This position, while initially part time, has the potential to grow to full time based on the desire of the Executive Director, the configuration of staff, and the needs of the organization.
The Executive Director is responsible for the overall fiscal, programmatic, and administrative operations of the organization, and will serve as one of its leading spokespersons. Specific responsibilities include:

The National Priorities Project's national office is located in Northampton, Massachusetts, a desirable small community in New England. Staff members currently work either at the national office or remotely from a number of US cities. The right candidate, who works well independently and who can build a strong team and maintain excellent communication, could potentially work from a remote location.
Salary is commensurate with experience. NPP offers a generous benefits plan.
