Fighting for a U.S. federal budget that prioritizes peace, economic security and shared prosperity
I feel the mortgage interest deduction helped my parents buy a house back in the late 1940s. My ex bought land in Mississippi around 1970 paying cash from getting lucky in the commodities market. He later had a house built with cash from selling his mother's old house when the taxes on it got too much and he had bought her a storefront with two apartments over it all already rented which he had already paid for by the time he finally sold the old house. I have never been involved in buying a house with a mortgage.Grace from Willimantic, CT | Map
