Black Friday. Cyber Monday. Giving Tuesday. On Tuesday, December 2, 2014, charities, families, businesses, community centers, and students around the world will come together for one common purpose: to celebrate generosity and to give. 

National Priorities Project is celebrating Giving Tuesday by raising funds towards our fight for a transparent, participatory federal budget that works for all Americans

On just one day we hope to raise $15,000 through donations from all 50 states so that all Americans can make their voices heard and get a Slice of the Pie.

Why Should I Give on #GivingTuesday?

December 2nd is a global day of giving. Join the movement! You'll be one of countless individuals around the world who are supporting their favorite causes in the spirit of giving back this holiday season.

NPP's #GivingTuesday campaign, called Slice of the Pie, honors our work to make sure that our nation’s spending priorities leave room for all Americans to get a slice of the budget pie. For 30 years, NPP has been tracking federal spending so people like you and me can understand where our tax dollars go – and what’s actually happening as lawmakers in Washington, D.C. make decisions about federal funds that affect all of us.

If you care about health care, climate change, jobs, education, Social Security, or national security, it all comes back to the federal budget.

NPP is working for a federal budget that reflects the priorities of all Americans. Join us on #GivingTuesday and give back for a better federal budget.

What Can I Do?

1. Make a Gift on 12/2/2014: Your gift of any amount will count towards our $15,000 goal. NPP is a 501(c)3 nonprofit, which means your gift is tax-deductible, too!

2. Encourage Friends to Give: Tell 4 friends about our Slice of the Pie campaign on Giving Tuesday, and encourage them to give. Help us reach new folks across the country so we can achieve our secondary goal of at least one new supporter from all 50 states! Feel free to use our email template here.

3. Join the Fun: Post on Facebook and Twitter using the hashtags #SliceofthePie and #GivingTuesday. Use our sample social media posts here, or post your own. Tag us or use our hashtags and we'll enter you into a drawing to win a copy of our acclaimed book.
